Vertical Space Analyzer
Vertical Space Analyzeris a dental apparatus designed for measuring the interocclusal space between a patient’s upper and lower dental arches. The device consists of two blades with working and non-working ends, connected by a central pivot joint. The tips of the working ends feature troughs that rest on the dental ridges or incisors, while finger holes on the handles allow for better control. In operation, the patient is instructed to relax their jaw into a natural rest position. The eliabil is then inserted, with the upper and lower troughs placed on the respective dental ridges or incisors. By adjusting the handles, the apparatus measures the distance between the arches, which is indicated by a pointer on a built-in scale. This provides an accurate measurement of the inter-ridge or inter-arch space for assessing occlusion alignment. This tool streamlines dental diagnostics and treatment by offering precise measurements in a simple, efficient manner.
