Empowering Startups through Research and Innovation

Since the launch of the Startup India initiative on 16 January 2016, India has witnessed rapid growth of new-age startups, driving innovation, employment generation, and economic development across sectors. Advancing this vision, the SPPU Research Park Foundation—a Section 8 company wholly owned by Savitribai Phule Pune University—was established in February 2019 to foster applied research and entrepreneurship. The Foundation promotes research-based startups and provides co-location facilities for industry-led R&D. Located within the Savitribai Phule Pune University campus, the Research Park was digitally inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister on 3 February 2019 under the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA).
